dsi bottom screen parts

If you look at the bottom screen assembly from the side you'll see the metal part (the lcd screen), the transparent plastic part (the touch screen), and a colored screen border strip. You can separate the lcd screen from the touch panel by using a flat blade xacto knife and running it around the edges of the assembly where the adhesive is located. Then simply reuse whichever part is still working and replace what's broken.

If you are replacing the bottom lcd make sure you insulate the back with some black electrical tape to keep from blowing the motherboard fuses.

The colored screen border should be reinstalled after the DSi XL is reassembled. It's the only way to align it correctly.

Reassembly is the reverse of removal.
